What keeps your blog up and running?

Right now I’m still reviewing my food pool (gallery) of recent foodporn photos to share with my followers even with strangers outside my instagram page.

A beginner in #foodstagramming yet a doodler for years now. As of now, I still can’t believe it, that I’m running a food blog incorporated with snapshots doodled via Instagram.

A simple medium for my simple yet my own creative foodie photos to be shared one by one. Accompanied with stories that makes the experience well portrayed all over again. I think even photo has its own story to tell and I’m just a tool for it to happen.

Worth sharing Locally esp. Globally

I started with lots of categories to choose from. Food ideas like interviews, recent foodstops and recipes to share. Everything is colorful with food presentations I may say. All of my posts are personal experiences within the Philippines. Why Food Doodle Blog?

I’m a picky eater. I don’t eat everything served on the table. I tend to ask the particulars and what does it taste like. I have my favorites and my dislikes too. The taste, smell, preparation and presentation are very important factors for me.

I may not be a chef of some kind but I can cook to mt own likings, I can explore and I’m willing to watch tutorials and understand each one of them. I even watch my favorite foodie personalities discovering food recipes and visiting certain food stops.

For now, I’ll be an instrument for people to appreciate through my feedbacks and ideas about food/drinks. I love sharing what I alreafy absorbed and also giving life to my own photo/ snaps.

I wanna thank God for this talent. I wanna make my followers happy and knowledgeable as they acknowledge my experiences.

Snapshot Blog Life: Food Doodle Blog

Biography

I always wanted to have a catchy Biography phrase for my readers to relate to, but I always think about giving up to just enumeration stuff to express facts about me. In this post, I would like for the readers to read about my life being a Food Doodle Blogger via SnapshotBlogLife Instagram account of mine. I have multiple Instagram accounts with different niches, from a personal account to a business account and creative escape account too. Today, I’m here to express my goal to share my insights about food, drinks and how I managed to express my words to the world in making doodle-inspired food known to my followers. I wanted to give my followers ideas, recommendations, and feedback on whatever food I may encounter. From the Local scene to internationally loved delicacies considerably the best tasting foods all over the globe.

First of all, I’m Nicole Alngog, short version, 25, single, pride, medical technologist, storyteller and an active member of the social media scene. Google my name and you’ll just know. Hahahaha Well, today, I’ll present my Instagram account: @SnapshotBlogLife (Food Doodle Blog) type of account.   1. Why the Username?

I made this type of username because it’s so literal, can easily be understood by the people. “Snapshot because not every time you can gracefully capture a photo of the food in front of you perfectly. There are many factors to be considered. Some of them are lighting, angle and type of snap that you’ll use. If you’re alone you’ll have the time of your life focusing 100% on your food but if you’re with a companion who is impatient with your foodporn capturing even when already starving, you’ll be in trouble. For me, it’s all about the snapshot to make a quick photo of your food right before indulging.

  1. Why combine food and doodle?

I think the quick and simple glimpse of the food within Instagram feed through the #hashtags are very powerful. The food discovery button is turned on in this phase. It’s not all about what type of food is in the photo anymore, sometimes the “Gimmick” is a very important factor. When I say “ Gimmick”, it’s the uniqueness of the variable within the photo that differs from all the other food blogging styles that you have encountered all over the social media. Whether from pages you follow or based on your reads. I’m a doodler myself, I sketch, draw lines that make up a character randomly. If I incorporate something like Doodling on my photos, I believe my snaps will become more alive because of the added art and worthy details for a simple background to my food snaps.

Moreover, I want to influence my followers whatever experiences I gained from food choices, appreciations as I share my food ideas expressively through this combined medium. I can be the local guide for my Filipino and international followers as they explore more the nature and beauty of the food both they want to indulge and enjoying right at this very moment. Through my food/delicacies recommendations and feedback, I’m hoping these will be a good aid for their curiosity and read-goals even with just discovering food via Instagram. I just wanna make it simple yet beautiful!

  1. Why an influencer?

I mean why not? Sharing your thoughts/ ideas on food by adding simple text and sketches are pretty much fun! Even before reaching this decision I asked myself “What makes me happy?” I told myself, whatever makes me happy is what makes me going on with my life. Doing what I love and sharing them to the world doesn’t even hurt. Mirroring happiness is even better than keeping it all to yourself. My inspiration today will still be my type of motivation for tomorrow and so on. “Go in the direction of whatever makes you happy especially when it makes other people happy too” – Nicole

“Our” not so private life

Unveiled is the truth about our transparency whether in Social Media or even in our personal life. It can be our daily activities, feelings or opinions about certain topic/matter. Aside from our daily mantra, we tend to butt into other people’s ideas and whereabouts. I know you know this for sure because this is the type of life we live right now. Surely, millennials can deeply relate to this and I myself as part of this millennial idea is free to express myself just like what freedom means to all of us. But, there’s this thing we called “privacy” that is bugging me. Why? Because I think the word itself is uncertain, means it doesn’t have its standard limitations per person.

This term is widely requested by the most of us especially introverts and people who believe that their life stories are not for show or not for sale to the eyes and ears of the many.  The problem is to what extent would you like yourself socially be heard and seen by the media/people? How limited is the word “PRIVACY” for you? Does your environment respect what you imply?

So, here I am again brainstorming on what specific blog post to share with you guys. Actually, I’ve been busy lately illustrating, designing for clients with my Freelancing career and I never thought of getting back to writing and blogging again but here I am facing my laptop on a Monday Morning. For a usual and expert blogger, they don’t really mind thinking of ideas what to post on a daily basis because their life, friends, family, clients, food, money, travel stories are enough topics to generate new blog ideas to post.

Well, for me, I really don’t have the variety of transactions made in just a day.  For a self-taught web graphic artist like me, it’s possible to have those “nothing to do at the moment” and absorbing the chill pill dimension, just for now. Well, just for the record I’m not a professional graphic designer hence I’m a Professional Registered Medical Technologist if you want to know few facts about me CLICK HERE

How deep is your love for nature?

With my recent vacation spent on the shores of Islan Jardin, del mar, glan, Sarangani in Southern part of Cotabato ,Mindanao,Philippines I may say it’s been so long that my soul longs for some experience just like that.

First of all there are certain things that excites me whenever me and my friends are going on a trip. Some of them are:

  • Roadtrip
  • Capturing photos (esp. during the travel)
  • Laughing moments
  • Listening to my chill vibes travel playlist
  • And the snacks

Bus ride: First 5 day

Yes, I’m on my 5th day going back and forth to General Santos City for my IELTS review. Bus ride will took approximately an hour journey from my home city, Koronadal. At first it never occured to me that I’ll be this flexible adjusting to land trips, five days a week, summing it up to 10 rides all in all. In other words, I’m beginning to feel a little bit of boredom just by thinking about it. 

All of a sudden, I’m starting to practice the art of “never mind”, sleep and just relax, this won’t take this daily grind of mine. Today is Friday 3rd of March year 2017. It’s a not just like any other day I may say, this day is congruent to the word “rush”. I’m not gonna deny it, every time I hear  the terms “Friday’ and “Monday, the laziness inside me apparently kicks in.

Putting up alarm clocks on mobile phones, tabs and even human body clocks. Well they doesn’t work with me every time, the best discovery therein is the “snooze tool”, very manageable. *giggles Grateful for this helpful invention. Supposedly it will just be a back up feature whenever your desired time is a fail. Always.

I cannot elaborate enough but I’m well aware and used to it. In case you (readers) don’t know I’m a graduate of Medical Laboratory Science, a Scientist, working as a Medical technologist. I am constantly experiencing habitual things because of my chosen career, just to keep up with my laziness to wake up for classes and work. These things are never new to me. What makes me blog is the unfamiliarity of the unknown. This makes me had a Go-Go! attitude in life. This is what keeps me running and walking. The road to the future. The journey to my American Dream.
